MUSICSTAR® added some star power to a recent student recital when Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Ryan Calhoun turned up to perform as the opening act at a recent student recital at Montebello's Gascon Elementary School. MUSICSTAR® runs a grant-funded after-school band program at that school under the direction of Mercedes Smith. Preceding the performance, students gathered for a Q & A with the artists.
